Your Own Website vs. Your Own Free Blog
Why I like a Free blog such as Blogger's Blogspot:
It's free! Woo hoo! Shouldn't that be enough of a reason for you? I love the fact that it is easy to set up and free to use. You can probably make yours look much better than my if you have an ounce of technical ability. I have no technical ability, so it is difficult for me.
I have heard that blog posts are handled differently in the whole scheme of the internet rankings. I am not sure how that is going to affect things for me. I hope it does not have a negative affect on me.
Although, in the future I may consider my own website and jump over to WordPress or GoDaddy for help, for now, I am going to stick with what I know and stay with blogger.
If you want to make money writing online, you may want to look into both options before making a decision or you can just do like I am doing and try the free option until it appears that you need more.
How Much Are You Making Online?
Fast forward to September of 2010 and I am now making a steady $1,300 to $1,600 per month from eHow, Bukisa, Associated Content, Oainternet, Clickbank and Commission Junction. Google adsense through blogger and hubpages are just trickling in. The majority of my money is made from eHow and Clickbank right now. I can no longer write for eHow because I do not want to sell my articles to Demand Studios, so I am now writing on Hubpages or my own blogs.
Although I am happy with the passive income that I am making right now, I am also surprise to hear that Pat Flynn from Smartpassiveincome.com is making between $7,000 and $20,000 per month. I don't know exactly when he started, but Pat started posting his monthly income statements in October 2008, just a couple months before I began writing online. I do believe that Pat had begun some of his online money making attempts way before October 2008. However, I cannot help but compare myself to Pat in some ways just because we were both trying to make passive income at the same time.
Another huge difference between Pat and myself, besides our income, is that Pat has dabbled in many different internet money making adventures such as educational test study kits, cell phone apps, ebooks and his own websites. I have not tried any of these pursuits because they seem way over my head.
I have also noticed that Pat does not even really try to make money from Google Adsense.
These differences make me wonder what I should do differently today? Although, I know that I am not going to go down the road of making cell phone apps or sell test kits, I still have a lot to learn from Pat Flynn.
Pat has been an inspiration to us all because he has shown us that it can be done. If you put in the time now, you can benefit in the future. Now I just need to figure out what it is I need to do to grow my future passive income, you are welcome to follow me along the way.

Sometimes Articles Do Make More on Associated Content
There is a quirky editing team on AC that offers more money for articles that on subject matters that are not well covered or even heard of.
Has AC ever offered you a low up front payment for a good keyworded article because "there are already too many articles on AC covering the subject? This has happened to me numerous times. I can write an article on a good topic such as Credit or Teeth Whitening only to be offered two bucks from AC.
I can then write an article (fictitious) on How to Clean My Eyebrows with Mayonnaise and AC offers a fair amount. Since this article would not make a penny anywhere else, I am happy to take an offer from AC.
I have noticed that some of my articles that have never made a penny on websites such as eHow, Bukisa, Blogger, and Hubpages, even after being posted for many months or years, can then be sold to Associated Content for an upfront offer. It is unbelievable.
If you have articles that have never made a penny or have been deleted off of other writing websites, you just may want to give them a try over a AC before sending them to the recycle bin.

EHow, Other Writing Sites and Affiliates Yearly Earnings Total
I have received $8,307.93 from eHow, Bukisa, Associated Content, Mturk, and my affiliate links, such as Clickbank and Oainternet in 2009. I did not earn enough to make payout from Google Adsense. I did not make a penny from Amazon Affiliates or any other website not listed above. That is about $692 per month.
This is the amount that I have received. I will not receive any more payments until 2010. This amount does not include December earnings because I will not be paid for them until 2010.
Of course I worked hard this year setting up these accounts, writing and creating links. If you want more help getting started, see my article about tips for writing eHow articles.
I hope to double my earnings in 2010. EHow earnings are on the low side this month, but I have heard that it is normal for the end of the year. Good luck to you all.

How to Make More Money On Ehow
Things to do:
Write often and on a variety of topics.
Write about what you know.
Write about things that you, your family and friends would search for.
Write more articles on the topics that make you money, but do not clone.
Always write completely original articles.
Always write at least 400 words.
Things to avoid:
Wasting your time posting in the forums.
Wasting your time commenting on other peoples articles.
Wasting your time with photos, I recommend you don't use any.
Wasting your time posting your articles to social networks such as stumbleupon, yahoobuzz, etc.
I will continue to update this post with new information as often as possible so that you can make more money on eHow!

eHow.com September Earnings Report
eHow.com = set it and forget it!
I have even taken down some of my articles that had not earned a penny in six months and sold them to AC. I now will continue to take down zero earning articles and place them on Associated Content. If Associated Content does not want to pay me for them, I then post them on Bukisa. Bukisa pays more per view than AC, but does not pay upfront payments.
eHow.com is no doubt the best online writing site.
I am on to promoting my affiliates now. My best affiliate link so far is Male Enhancement Products.
Keep on keepin on with eHow.com
My total for all online passive income adventures for September of 2009 was $1,198.00, this figure does not include money made from stock and forex trading.

eHow.com Really Works! August Earnings Report
This month, I wanted to see if I would continue to make around $500 per month without writing and the results show that the experiment worked. EHow.com is a great place to make a passive income.
I have not written any articles for September and I have made $54 in the first three days. September is looking good as well.
I do have over 600 articles on eHow.com and I do lose a few every time they have a sweep.
In the last sweep, I lost 9 articles. One of them was one of my top 10 earners and had been since January. Bummer.

July eHow Earnings Update
Sorry that I did not get to this post sooner. I finally broke $500 on eHow this month. It has been a long road, but well worth the wait.
Here are my July earnings for writing online:
$506 eHow
$87 mTurk
$9 Associated Content
I did not make enough for a payout from Bukisa, but I have since surpassed the $10 minimum and I will get a payout next month. So far I have only received $13.99 from Bukisa since January.
I wrote a couple of articles for Associated Content, but my current articles are not earning a lot, only about $1.50 per month. That is enough to make the minimum payout. I have received almost $100 from Associated Content since I started in January.
Towards the end of the month I was a little concerned that I would not reach the $500 mark on eHow, but luckily they pulled through for me. I really notice a huge difference in earnings when I am able to write a lot. If I do not write a lot my earnings go down slightly and then level off.
Good luck to all of you and have a great day.

eHow of the Day
Along with getting a few more friend requests and recommendations, I also received the $75 for winning the homepage contest as well.
This is a very exciting day. I feel like I am on the cover of Rolling Stone or Time Magazine.
Thank you all for all of your encouragement and support. I can't wait to see all of my friends articles on the homepage of eHow.

Mystery $75 eHow Bonus
Then I thought that the bonus was because I wrote more than 100 articles in the month. I had myself convinced that it was because I had written so many articles but because I never received an email from eHow, I really had no idea why I had received the bonus.
Writing online is just getting better every day. Yesterday I received an email from eHow about having one of my summer home and garden articles posted on the homepage. Wow, what an honor to have my article featured on the homepage. I am now wondering if the $75.00 bonus was for the homepage contest. I remember Rich mentioning something about a $75-$100 bonus if your article is picked to be on the homepage.
I still do not know for sure, but one thing that is for sure, eHow is definitely a viable way to make money online and it is a very simple way to create a passive income for yourself. What could be easier. I have tried selling stocks and forex and although I really enjoy doing it, it is very difficult and stressful to trade stocks or currency and you never know what will happen.
Pumping out a few articles per day or even per week seems to be a much better way to make money.
Months ago I really wondered if the people bragging about their $500 plus earnings per month on eHow were telling the truth. Now I believe that some of them were telling the truth.
Good luck to you all!

Passive Income Writing Online
Even though my passive income is not massive (yet!), I have been making an income and it is very exciting. There is so much more for me to learn about blogging, keywords, etc. I just wanted to update everyone on how much income I have made to date. It does not really feel like passive income yet because I work hard for every penny right now, how every I do see now how it can become passive income over time.
Passive Income Writing Online
Totals to date:
Mturk $1,666.04
eHow $1,098.90 543 articles
AC $ 90.87 58 articles
Bukisa $ 21.86 111 articles
Google adsense has not paid me anything yet because I have not met the minimum amounts. My account is currently at $10.89.
Mturk earnings were not all writing jobs. Some of the earnings were simple data entry tasks. Most of the $1,600 was made in the first two months, I have since given up with them. The work is too grueling and does not pay enough. If you are desperate it is a good alternative. I would rather make money that keeps paying me.
eHow seems to be the best so far. Here is a breakdown of my ehow earnings, which have now become true passive income:
December $ 1.79
January $ 21.00
February $ 27.27
March $ 39.43
April $ 158.96
May $ 255.18
June $ 443.70
July $ 151.57(through the 10th)
As you can see it has been increasing. I am now making more than $15.00 per day and I have drastically cut down on the number of articles I write although I do intend to pick up again.
I am not sure which site will pay more over the long run and I am not doing an accurate comparison. It may seem like eHow is the clear winner, however it is nice to receive money upfront from other sites such as Associated Content. I have many articles on eHow that have not made any money ( a total of 81 the are completely non earners) and I also have many that have not made a dollar yet.
If I compare that with my AC articles, most of the ones that I requested an upfront payment for, were paid at least $1.00 and they do keep earning. Although it may seem like they do not pay as much, on the other hand, eHow does not pay up front payments at all. In my opinion, it is best to put article on AC if they offer a high upfront payment and/or they are a highly viewed topic, since they pay by page views.
Bukisa is another website that pays by page views and therefore it is only profitable if the articles placed there are highly viewed articles.
On eHow it does not matter how many views an article receives because the earnings are based on a secret algorithim (seems like clicks - never commit click fraud). I have some eHow articles with very few views that have earned a lot of money.
All in all this year has been very fun so far and I believe that even if I stopped writing for eHow today, I would continue to earn money for years to come. Passive income writing online is possible, yeah!

Making Money Writing About The Things I Love
I have reached my goal of writing 360 articles, I will now write only 3 articles per day on average. I think it is a much more achievable goal. I still believe that you need to write on a variety of subjects to find out which ones are the highest earners. Also, sometimes you have have the subject right but the content is not. I have several articles on one subject and one will make money while the other two do not.
Ehow has been very glitchy lately and making me very nervous. One of my friends had an article that is two years old added to his list of articles. He is working with the staff to have it removed. Strange days at ehow.

How To Make and Get Money
I think the work is paying off because my earnings are increasing on those articles. I went through all of my recipes and took out the words cook or bake in my keyword phrase and changed it to "make". Make is a much more popular keyword and when you think about it, it is what most people type in when they are looking for a recipe.
I also went through my articles that had words such as "find" and when appropriate I substituted "get". I know that get does not sounds as well from a writers perspective but when you are thinking about earnings and not writing, get is a better word to use. It is a word that people use a lot when they are searching for something that they need.
Now you know how to make and get money!

How To Find Legitimate Writing Jobs Online
For the last six months I have been writing online and trying to find the best source. When you need money right away you should consider writing for places such as The Examiner, AssociatedContent, Constant-Content and Mturk. You will be paid in a reasonable amount of time for your work. The only problem is that you only get paid once. Even though AC also offers performance payments, the pay is very low, only $1.50 per 1000 views. If you have been writing online for awhile you know that you can do much better than that. I have appreciated the fact that you can make fast money with these websites and I have made up to $1,100 in one month using these sites.
However, I rarely write for these sites now, because in the long run I can make much more writing on other sites, such as this one, blogger.com. I also enjoy writing on ehow.com. It has been slow to get started, but it really has been increasing over the last few weeks. Ehow may soon be the single best place for me to earn money writing online.
If you are looking for legitimate writing online jobs start at ehow and then look for something better.

HIGHEST EHOW EARNINGS - APRIL 2009 GOAL IN SIGHT
I am still slightly reluctant to believe the guru's that claim they are making $1,000 to $3,000 per month, but I sure hope they are telling the truth.
I thought I would run out of things to write about, but I always have 30-40 articles to write, it is just difficult to get motivated to write about subjects that I do not enjoy writing about. Having a goal each day helps. Right now I am writing 5 articles per day until I am up to 360 articles, which should be around the end of the month. I will then switch back to writing just 3 articles per day.
I am constantly keeping my eye open for new article topics and I keep lists on the computer of my ideas. When I need to write an article I just scour the list until something pops out I feel like writing about.
Keep writing on various topics to keep your ehow earnings rolling in.

How My Ehow.com Experience is Changing
I started writing for Ehow.com in December. I didn't really expect very much out of it. I did not think it was possible to make money online writing. In late December and early January I really started putting my heart into it and started writing a lot. I made less than $2 in December $22 in January, and $28.00 in February, at least I was making $1 per day. By the end of February, I was once again thinking that there is no money to be made in writing online.
I put my efforts into some of my other projects for awhile, all the time still studying and learning about how to make money online. I started learning more and researching more about keywords. I still had a difficult time believing the other writers on ehow that said they were making a lot of money on the site. Especially the ones claiming to make $500, $1000 or even $2,000 per month. Could it be true? I decided to give ehow another try. I made it to my 200th article in March and I am now trying for 300. I made $40 in March, still disappointing. In April I began implementing all that I have learned about keywords. And to my surprise it started working immediately. I immediately began making more money on ehow as soon as I started focusing on my keywords. I even went back and changed some of my old articles with my new keyword techniques. My earnings started increasing. I am now making $4 per day on ehow. Half of my articles that have earned money in April were written in the last two weeks. This just proves how my keyword technique has really changed things for my ehow.com experience.
I am now getting excited again about ehow. I now think that $500, $1000 or even $2000 per month is very possible and within my reach. I am going to keep going. Not only writing 300 articles on ehow, but writing articles based on good keywords. I now know that I can make money writing online.

How to Make Residual Income Writing Ehow Articles
How to Make Residual Income Writing Ehow Articles
Tired of living week to week? Want to have some money left over for yourself? Take the time to build the foundation of your ehow articles and you will start earning money within a couple of months.
START WRITING - Writing 1-5 articles per day will eventually bring you a passive monthly income of $200-$1000 per month. Your articles will make you money for years to come. Of course, results to vary. Set a goal and write at least 25 articles to start. You can come back later to make additions, corrections, updates or photos.
GET IDEAS - Ehow helps you out by offering up ideas for you to write about and they give you extra points if you write about those topics. It is best to write about what you know. Any good writer will tell you that your personal knowledge creates the best article.
USE KEYWORDS - Find what everyone else is looking for by researching keywords, I have written another article on where to find keyword information for free. Places like Yahoo, Ask and Lycos keep track of what the whole world is searching for and shares it with you.
PHOTOS - Photos are very important to your articles. Always use photos, and go back to update your articles if you have some without photos.
MARKET your writing by publishing it on sites like stumbleupon, digg and delicious. This will help to spread the word about your article.
EHOW COMMUNITY - Get involved in the ehow.com community. Make friends, read their articles, rate their articles and leave comments. You can get ideas, get encouraged and get your questions answered. Also join groups or forums.

High Search Engine Ranking Options for Beginners
If you are like me, you spend plenty of time researching google, their ranking system and website optimization. This is a constant learning opportunity. Google is always fine tuning their system and therefore as bloggers and webmasters we need to constantly ebb and flow with our sites to keep up with the changes. Google search engine ranking is not a mystery, but because it is constantly changing it is difficult to keep up with.
The high search engine ranking does not come overnight, but it can happen faster than you expect if you use proper website optimization. If we go back to the beginning, you will remember it all starts with your website title, you want to make your target your title to your audience. Next title all of your pages towards your audience as well.
When google crawls your site they will see your keywords and keyword phrases. If you have enough content on your blog, they will see a consistent message. Google likes to see this consistency on one topic so that they can target ads to fit your audience.
We all know that google advertising is what it is all about right? Google wants to put the highest paying ads on your site so that they can make the most money and share it with you. You need to do your part by letting them know that you have the content they want. This is one of the key steps in obtaining a high search engine ranking.

How To Find the Highest Paying Google Adsense Keywords
Finding high paying keywords for your blog or website is very easy. The first thing that you need to do is go to goodkeywords.com and down load their free software for keyword searches, this software can be used for researching your keywords for your website or blog. You can also go directly to https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal.
There is an option to put in your website address. It then analyzes your website and gives you suggestions for keywords.
You can click on the option of showing the calculated estimates in U.S. dollars or whatever your currency may be. It will then show you the figures.
You can use this information to place the highest paying keywords in your articles no matter what your topic is.
This information can also be used to start a new website or blog. Remember google will find your website or blog there is no need for you to submit your url to google. Many believe that it can actually slow down the time it takes for a website to be ranked. I do not know for sure, but I do know that before you know it, you will start to get visitors through google.
Although there are many avenues of making money online, such as ehow, bukisa, today.com, the real money seems to be with google adsense, so why not find the highest paying keywords.
